Travertine & Limestone, from the marble category, usually has filled pits in the stone. Travertine is a special limestone generally formed around hot mineral rich springs and is about 4 million years old.  In this type of stone root holes, fossils and debris are commonplace.

Travertine and Limestone come in different finishes and textures such as, tumbled, pillowed, honed or polished.

Because travertine & limestone have an uneven surface and pits, these stones trap in more dirt and soil.  We incorporate a weighted floor machine with silicate carbide grit brushes to scrub the stone, followed by steam extraction, leaving the stone deep cleaned and virtually dry.

For light scratch and etch removal, we use abrasive polishes that have industrial diamonds in it. We can remove stains with various stain extraction techniques, and for severe scratch and etch removal we utilize a diamond pad restoration process starting with a low number grit diamond, (aggressive) up to a high number grit diamond pad, (fine) bringing up the floor to a polished shine and mirrored surface like polished marble.

All stone restoration is completed with impregnating seal application to repel against water, oil and stain causing liquids.
